This Specialisation Course is designed for national lawyers, in-house counsel, and international legal practitioners appointed to defend clients in cases concerning cybercrime. It provides advanced training on litigation related to national and transnational cybercrime, and large-scale cases having an international profile.
This Course will be dedicated to the analysis of international and national regulations related to the subject matter, the legal tools of the competent bodies countering cybercrime, and the defence techniques in these cases with particular attention to the procedural aspects of international legal cooperation in criminal matters. The Course will particularly address procedures and mechanisms related to digital forensics and forensic analysis procedures, collection and analysis of digital evidence, and jurisdictional disputes related to cybercrime.
The Course will also give the participants an overview of tools and strategies for the protection of clients’ data, with a technical training session led by an Information and Communication Technology expert dedicated to: cybercrime threat awareness; conducting threat/risk assessments; preventive measures to mitigate cyber-related threats; best practices and technical standards for ensuring clients’ data security; and security incident management.
